Dear Parents: Today, your child was entertained by a unique in school assembly by “Joel Brantley and THE THREE R’s.” RESPECT, RESPONSIBILTY, and ROCK n’ ROLL, uses music to get through to students. While students are having fun singing, dancing, and actively participating in the show, Joel intertwines messages about Respect, Responsibility, and Reaching for your Dreams. Please spend a few minutes going over the following messages with your child.

RESPECT – Everybody is different, different ideas, different talents, different family backgrounds, different dreams, etc. As students we need to respect other students differences. Differences can make you special and make you stand out from one another. Find the good in your differences and be proud of it. Don’t make fun of other kids because they are different. Differences can make us great. Regardless of our differences, we all want to be treated with respect.

RESPONSIBILITY – Take responsibility for your own actions. The choices you make growing up through school will help decide what you become tomorrow. The right choices can make your dreams come true. Don’t let friends influence your decision. Use your own mind. You will always be faced with the decision to stay in school and study. You will always be faced with the decision on weather or not to do drugs and alcohol. It is your decision and your future.
