Dear Joel, Recently, I had the pleasure of witnessing your History of Rock n Roll program. On this particular day, you were performing for the students at South Pines Elementary School during an all-school assembly. While the arts present a wonderful medium for a variety of learning experiences, students are not always strongly motivated by a music history presentation. However, your performance was both entertaining and educational. Without question, South Pines students and their teachers really enjoyed your show, enthusiastically clapping their hands and singing along with you on several tunes. Your presentation was professional and included numerous opportunities for student participation, which contributed to the high interest level of the audience. Since the students attention was strongly focused upon your History of Rock n Roll show, they listened attentively to your powerful, up lifting message about being successful in life by staying in school and being drug free. Your efforts through music, to stress and model the importance of staying in school and being drug free are appreciated. Keep up the good work for students! R.
